In one of the starting rooms above the pyro's cubby/locker/thing there is a pink purse with a yellow flower on it.

Actually if you look to the right of the Pyro outfit there's a suit which no class wears - My guess is that the outfit belongs to the Announcer, and that's her purse.

Valve has hinted on the TF2 blog that the Pyro my not be human. I wouldn't be surprised if this was true.
