I’m not sure the move is super effective, as much as it’s the targeting. I mean when you’re an elvish warrior/adventurer, you learn a thing or two about dragon weak points!

Normal moves being effective against anything, much less a flying-fire type destroys any concept of regulations of type trumping. But Link is awesome enough (not my kind of awesome, a different kind of awesome) to ignore rules.
