Eggman payed BP 2 Billion dollars to kill Sonic. but it looks like Eggman got more then what he bargained for.
Bunny Rabbot, horrified by Sonic's predicament, had to act quickly. She was about to lose a very good friend: for it was him who saved her from being fully turned into one of Dr. Robotnik's robotic grunts.
"Don' woree Sonic! Ah'm comin' to save ya!" she yelled, in a voice that sounded like Sandy Squirrel after downing half a bottle of Southern Comfort, and dive in after him.
In the end, Tails lifted him out and Bunny Rabbot, because of the weight of her mechanical legs, had been drug down under the oily waves. In her final moments she cursed herself for this costly mistake.
At her funeral she was declared non-cannon, but her legend lives on through the works of badly drawn fanart and fanporn, which I am not going to post because this is a family site.
Sonic, who couldn't go over water, thought he could go over oil.
Turns out he's wrong.
