Hello. I am the creator of this piece, and I want to publicly apologize for it. When I first conceived of the "Falcon Heene Punch", it was going to be a small (and lame) joke among friends. One night I, stupidly (and possibly drunkenly), decided to submit it to Halolz.

Time passed with no reply, and I just figured the pic had been dropped and forgotten. During this time, I also reflected on the matter at hand with the attention-seeking behavior of the Heene family. I thought to myself, "Is this really what I want to be putting out there?" Even if people did find it funny (clearly you do not), what kind of message does that send? I decided that such a picture was not the right way to express my opinion of the Heene hoax, but by then it was too late.

Understand that this is an apology based in my beliefs of what should be made funny, and not what is funny. I do not believe that granting more attention to this situation is the right way to regard it, and I have learned from this mistake and will try not to repeat it. If the editors want to take this image down, I more than welcome it. In fact, I encourage it.

i think i get the joke but only slightly, okay so the joke is that the kid faked it in the balloon thing, and instead of doing a falcon punch he did that little side B right? is that the joke? well thats a horrible joke... it would have made more sense if Captain Falcon were in a box

The only thing I find funny about this is the fact that "Things Are Heating Up" is in the tags. Aside from that, this pic does little more than defile the image of the Almighty Falcon; for that, it must be purged.

I have made more than my fair share of apologies, and some of them are still pending on forgiveness. I know how it feels to make a stupid choice, then look back on it and kick myself for it. Everyone makes mistakes; the trick is being able to learn from them.

While I think that some of the more heinous immoral activities (particularly murder) are beyond forgiveness, this is not in that category. In my honest opinion, this is just a case of "condemn the crime, not the criminal."

I forgive you for your error in judgement. Consider this mistake a lesson on what to avoid when "doing it for the lulz," as they say. I always find that mentality to be much healthier than beating yourself up over a failure to be politically correct (which, as Achmed said, is a pain in the ass).
