Doesn't anyone know that screaming makes flowers grow faster and more healthy? Possibly, slightly sadistic and will develop blood lust, but all worth it for great looking flowers!

Serious question:
Why do they yell Changing Mag? I would assume it's to give their team a heads up that they need cover, but wouldn't it also inform the enemy that that person is vulnerable? Could it be that they know this? Do they understand just how close they are to being potentially shot? Is it honestly worth the risk? Do they just want to give their squad members a final goodbye, just in case? Am I asking too many questions? Whatever, back to BF3

To be fair, this isn't an 'all modern shooters suck' kind of thing. Some, like Bioshock and especially Fallout 3 manage to be more complex than a straight line.
