I find this comic inaccurate. Getting hit by a blue shell in MKWII is a guaranteed 5th place if not a lower position, followed by a red shell, lightning, boolit bill, then Bowser taking up the whole damn track.

Personally, I'm typically further ahead so that the Blue shell is of less consequence to me, but before I was that good, or prior to me building my lead, the comic describes perfectly the series of events that I've experienced on at least one occasion.

This is one thing I've tried when I'm in first and a blue shell is coming for me. If the second place guy isn't too far behind, brake and go in reverse and kill him along with you.

One time I did that and the person got ahead of me so they were in 1st, the blue shell struck him instead, and I wizzed past him, lol.
