You got the Hover Boots!

Dah da da… dah?
I guess there’s one drawback to holding all those new items over his head.

Read this comic backwards, and you'll see Link finding a pair of shiny boots that fell from the sky, and happily putting them in his toy chest.

2nd 3rd 1st
He finds boots. They fly away. He goes digging for more.

No, no, no.

1st, 3rd, 2nd.

There was a mirror in the chest that reflected the hovering boots' light!
Reply
Read it with blue sunglasses, and you'll see Link finding a pair of shiny boots in sunken treasure, but the boots are more buoyant than he is so they float to the surface.

And if you flip the image, it's manga.
Reply
If you read it upside down you'll see Link finding a shiny pair of boots in a chest that's stuck on the ceiling, then forgetting that gravity works

I guess those boots have their ups and downs.

Very high brow humor.

Wait a second, i just noticed, is your picture of Soren from fire emblem. 'cause if it is, your awesome(er) :D
Reply
It is indeed Soren.
Reply
Soren is the character who taught me that you can't revive Fire Emblem characters. Of course, I was taught the hard way.
Reply
You poor, poor pony T-T. Soren on my big brother's file wipes out platoons of soldiers at a time. You poor poor *sniff and wipes away tear* pony
Reply
Ever since then, I keep everyone alive. If someone dies, I immediately reset. On my second playthrough of PoR, I did find out how awesome Soren was and what I was missing in my first run
Reply
If you haven't played Radiant Dawn twice, do so, and keep Soren and the prince both alive, also do the support with Ike in PoR. He gets INFINITELY more awesome.

- - - - Spoiler Alert - - - -

Soren is a branded, but not just any branded, he is half black dragon (form his mother Almheda), meaning he is Ashnard's lost son, making him the rightful heir to the throne of Daein
Reply
I've played Radiant Dawn once. If I replay it, is there something I should keep an eye out for while keeping them both alive?
Reply
Just refuse to kill him when he asks you to do it to break the blood pact (on the first playthrough Touroneo just steps in and does it for you, but on subsequent runs you can keep him alive to use dark magic) Also, I don't believe that having Pelleas attack Izuka in the swamp chapter is necessary, but it also throws in some cool plot points

I never had to learn that lesson the hard way. My first FE game was Sacred Stones. I picked up my brother's saved game because he was stuck on a chapter, so I tried to help. He had lost over HALF of the characters he had, and the rest were about level 4... on chapter 14... Needless to say after I reset the file, I never let anyone so much as get below half health.
Reply
wait, I just noticed your picture is of a shiny mudkip... because it should really be a slowpoke... but +1 for Fire Emblem fan. I just replayed a sizable chunk of PoR last weekend

I liked the one more than the second one. Ever send Naesala up to the king of Daein in the last chapter? He tries "jumping ships" and the king points out that he's only trying to look for flaws in his armor, when Neasala goes, "um oh, Look over there! No? Nothing? Didn't think that would work uumm." XD
Reply
I never chose Naesala for the final chapter of PoR, but taking him into the final 5 chapters of Radiant Dawn reveals a lot about his character which is very cool. As for the sequel, I really liked the plot on the whole, there were a lot of cool twists, and forcing you to split into 3 armies, thus making you take more of your units seriously was nice, but they ruined the support conversations (one of the highlights of the series for me) which was a horrible mistake

I almost left after reading this. It just isn't right. I'm surprised this wasn't voted down. I almost threw up.

Sounds like it made you pretty cross.

Those hover boots got a good look at the Shadow Temple after getting out of the chest and went:

Well... I'd rather get the hover boots and have them float away than be a victim of the iron boots.

You got the IRON BOOTS!
You got FRACTURED HANDS!

I don't have a clever joke at the moment, I just want to say: I liked those boots. I did everything with the hover boots after I got them, unless it called for the iron boots.

Yes, I even defeated Ganon while gliding around like a ballet dancer.

Ultimate Tennis on Ice?

Actually, I think he means like doing pirouettes around Ganon or sliding between Ganon's legs to get to his tail. Of course, Dead man's volley on ice is still awesome.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Everyone who's seen me play asks why I wear the hover boots around everywhere. They never really hindered my gameplay at all. Maybe we're just way better than everyone else at handling the mechanics in Ocarina of Time. :P

The only thing I can think of for that last panel is the slide whistle going up sound effect... which reminds me of nope.avi... WHICH FITS SO WELL!

You got the Hover Boots!

Don't worry, they'll fall back down in a moment or two.

Kinda makes me wonder how the Iron Boots didn't crumple his spine.
