    Mario Kart Arcade GP and GP2 isn't something I think of as unofficial. (Unless Nintendo said otherwise. I don't know.) My guess is Nintendo wanted to separate the home series from the arcade series. But hey, maybe they didn't care that much about the arcade series. After all, it got a very limited release. I've only ever seen one in person at Disney World.

    On another note. The arcade games were developed by Nintendo and Namco. Pac-man is a Namco license. Not Konami.
