I'm pretty sure you were downvoted because it was two great things that go TERRIBLY together. 80% of the reason the ponies are so popular is because they are cute, simple, and different. Mixing it with an old meme that results in a detailed yet horribly ugly picture is pretty much the exact opposite of successful pony usage.

TL:DR version: It's absolutely hideous, and ponies aren't supposed to be.
