    No doubt, that was awesome, but as platformer it would fail like 3D sonic. Sidescrolling FPS would not work.

    Other then that it was again, very awesome.

    If you're invincible when you pass the flagpole in the original SMB1, the regular level music plays instead of the fanfare. I know, I've done it. This video is NOT 100% ACCURATE TO THE GAME AAAARGH.

    I can the see the gimmick with the 3D now, I mean it wasn't in 3D but I was a little surprised about that tiny pit over the stack of blocks, it was actually thrilling and I can imagining doing that with an actual gap, may seem a bit out of reach but from sideways it seems just silly.

    I always thought Mario would feel claustrophobic in those narrow alleyways on world 1-1, but I never knew just how until now!

    You know, for the many achievements you can get, such as collecting a mushroom, killing an enemy from below, or finding a hidden block, you'd expect to get an achievement for getting a star powerup…

    funfact: the game designers did not program mario to actually go inside the castle. he actually never stops walking. standing in the doorway turns him invisible while the square imediatly the the right of the door is completely solid.

    this can be proven by either jumping the flagpole in 3-3 or by activating a walk through walls game genie code.
