Some might consider this ruining it. However if you played Marvel vs Capcom 2 in the arcades and on Dreamcast as much as I did, this makes things just feel… right, y’know?

I have to ask, is this possible? When my brother and I were playing it the first day it came out, we were making a joke about that song in the character selection screen. When we got to versus, I could've sworn I heard a remix of that song, but it was the only time I've heard it.

Has anybody else gotten it, or am I just slowly losing what's left of my mind?

My interpretation: it's unexpected and rather unfitting for the themes and visuals in MvC3, which one might percieve as "ruining" the experience of the game. Also, the character select song gets stuck in our heads (see above).

But I agree - it isn't exactly a striking blow to the game. It's really just a change in music. I even looked up some footage of gameplay for MvC2, and it looks... well, just like this video.
