If you're going to question that, then why not also question why convection doesn't turn Akbar into fried squid being that close to the lava, or how the rocks around the door haven't heated up despite being pressed against magma, or how any RPG hero is alive (those volcano missions would all require specialized gear to even attempt to get near the beginning, much less the center where you always end up)?

And not just ANY Mahogany! But Mahogany from the planet of Malchior 7, where the trees are 300ft tall and breathe FIRE! From these trees, this door was forged two thousand years ago, using ancient blood rituals of the Malchior people. Not only does this make this door, nigh, indestructible, but it can bend the fabric of the universe ITSELF!

Also it's a very fine material... very expensive.
