Wolf didn't let Mario hit the ? blocks, that, changes the future. Now, Mario after not taking the murshroom from the blocks kept going, and found in HIMSELF the courage to fight Bowser! He did so without relying on drugs, and kept fighting! He became a hero for all, inspiring athletes to not take drugs to enhance their game and even inspiring kids to say no to drugs and fight wars with honor! Sadly we don't live in the perfect timeline Wolf created.
