Wow, this is actually fairly funny. Yes, I realize that this is in poor taste, but that doesn’t mean it’s not funny! This is in the same vein as “‘Hitler killed a lot of Jews and one clown.’ ‘Why the clown?’ ‘See? No one cares about the Jews!'” It’s funny, yet in poor taste.

Okay, this is over the top, but it is clever nonetheless. At first glance it is quite funny, but of course people died so it's not too funny.
Personally, i don't find it too funny, but i did slightly chuckle. If we spent our entire days condeming those who mock dead people we would have near to no humor. Hitler jokes for example, neo-nazis must get offended. Nearly all jokes are at someone's expense.
