Only thing I can say about this:

This is an awesome commercial.
That was a damn expensive commercial. Though it is a little funny, it is kinda stupid how a cigarette suddenly kills him. Was that his first smoke? Was he smoking in a toxic environment? Did he remove his oxygen supply to smoke? Was he sabotaged with cyanide-laced smokes? I mean, even smokers don’t just cough and die, they get cancer. Why couldn’t he get cancer like everyone else and then die from it? Then again, they would have to do a whole “20 years later” and he’ll be in a hospital bed still holding his gun or something.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a smoker and I do not promote smoking in any way. I just think it is a perversion and makes video gamers look stupid with this kind of exaggeration in their form of media.

Uh, last time I checked cigarettes took away health but gave you EVE. Totally worth it. I needs my fist o’ lightning.

The unnoticed irony here is that soldiers are the only people for whome there are health benefits for smoking. They were standard issue in WW 2 I believe (and it’s not worth looking it up for Halolz.com, sorry guys.) In high stress jobs, like any where you are getting shelled on a daily basis, lung cancer isn’t your greatest condern and anything that can let you deal that stress was likely to save your life.
It would be irresponsible to say an argument like that one anywhere around impressionable children though as they are likely to miss the point. But I don’t think this commercial is going to influence people’s smoking choices. Anyone so impressionable that they would be swayed by this kind of add is also impressionable enough to fall for “it’ll make you cool” so really it was a waste of money.

Horrible marketing ploy. Did they even think before they made this? Seriously. What percentage of gamers smoke? I’ll give a rough estimate: 2%. Fucking horrible idea for a no-smoking ad. PR Team Fail.
I’ma send this video to… some game company that would make this game… and then buy it when it comes out.
This commercial disappointed me so much when i first saw it. It was stupid how he takes one puff and dies. What would have been REALLY funny is if it showed a sniper looking through his scope and seeing the smoke, then shooting his head off.
