R.O.B.

This one was featured in an article on Joystiq. I have no idea what they’re talking about… I had a R.O.B.!

I still have a R.O.B. We have had some good memories together. I never had Stack Up, was it any good?

I knew, though only through retrospective articles and stuff. I'm from the 90's, dammit!

He was just an NES with rockets disguised as a robot right?
Reply
Can't forget Mario Kart DS. He was playable in that
Reply
he could stack crap like nobody's business!

I know ROB and I wasn't even alive when he was around!

I remember him. Ours was old, so it was always going 'clack clack clack' when it moved.

@Ryumaru

Tsk. Kids these days.

I remember that thing clearly. My friend had one back then. I don't know what happened to it though.

He was also in a couple microgames in the original WarioWare.

OH. And in the background of a track in F-Zero GX, if I recall correctly.

This picture is probably the most true thing on the internet.

Rob was also in Mario Kart DS

it is true... also very sad... many people read this and agree, but there are still the select few who have owned/used a rob. i have one i gave to the drama club for a star wars skit after it stopped working... R.I.P. buddy!

I know what (who?) it is... And, while he's a good character, I still think it was a dumb idea to put him in Brawl. To put a bad NES peripheral into a fighting game as a fighter? No thanks.

MKDS didn't bother me as much. I mean, he's "operating" something...

I first saw him in a VG Cats strip and had no idea who he was. :P

:O well now i have to change my screen name from "chris" to "baskellus" -_- i knew who ROB was long ago. i never had the pleasure to own one though =[ but when i heard that he was gonna be in brawl i was like " are fuckin serious dumbest idea i have ever heard" and i have never and will never play as him.
Reply
Yeah i only knew him from warioware. Never saw a real one. Then again, i live in egypt, so i don't really see much except what's on the internet(mostly AVGN for the OLD NES peripherals, old games, old consoles etc. etc. etc.)|

Then again...the internet has anything about everything you would ever want to know about...

@ baskellus

You should try playing as him truth be known he is very deadly when played correctly, one of my friends likes playing with him because his moves just come out of no where so its hard to predict where he is going to strike. As for the idea it was to me unexpected and he was one of the last things i ever thought would be in brawl but at the same time i believe it was a good move because they made a almost completely unknown into a very well known character.

@ picture

As someone all ready said this this is one of the most true pictures out there rob was known by few and owned by less needless to say super smash bros can turn a complete unknown into something known worldwide. 5/5

You are the first person I've ever heard saying that they actually liked this thing. As much as I know, it was just yet another experimental NES accessory that didn't really work.

You have a R.O.B.? NERD!
Reply
I know who R.O.B is, and he's my favorite character in MK:DS...

And I think my friend has one in his garage somewhere.... I think I'm going to go look for it...

ironically hes one of my best characters

I has a R.O.B.; bought him for 8 bucks at a secondhand store, came with the Gyros, controller stand, and Gyro spinner. Was very good condition.

I've known his existence for quite some time, and since I'm a collector of rare peripherals, I just had to get him, though he is serving me no purpose, I still enjoy the fact I found him-especially for so cheap.

Now I need a Powerglove...

I still have mine. My brother and I used him when we were little like once or twice and didn't really use him much after that. So he sits alone in his box... poor Rob. He comes out just so I can show him to people... I actually still play Gyromite (and not the emulator)
Reply
Oh man, I totally had a R.O.B. I didn't actually have an NES cuz I was a toddler, but I still played with him. Probably explains a lot about my life.
Reply
I was born after ROBs creation and even I had one!
