I used to play a lot of video games. Then I started running a semi-popular video game website and now I have no time to play video games! So basically what I’m saying is, I’m lucky if I can make it up to light green!

That awkward moment when you have the first comment at your fingertips and nothing witty to say…
You can't see the other 99% of the line, but at the end it says type of game MMORPG.
You can never stop playing…
This is so true.
The most over rated game of all time is probably FF7 (Yes, i still think it's a good game) and the most underrated is probably FF9. But I love all levels of gaming…
….This comment has noting to do with this picture…
But where would RTSes or MOBAs go?
My guess would be after fighting games, but I suck at them so I'm probably wrong.
Why the fuck am I in all of those catagories?

I don't have any problems with "Boring parts" in videogames, especially tutorials…
That's Because I just make the prinnies do those parts!
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I notice that there's a small lack of data, but I believe it can be summarized as "Unreleased = negative time"

Shawn, you liar, I see you playing League of Legends and/or TF2 all the time. League is probably…Light green on this scale.
Don't know if my last comment was posted, but Shawn, you liar, you play League and TF2 all the time… I'd put LoL on the RPG level on this scale.
This reminds me of Granny's Law of Family Games: The longer the game goes is directly proportional to both the amount of hate harbored for all the other players and the amount of bragging one must do to ensure equilibrium.
Stick FPSs at the same level as casual games and you get a chart showing the total enjoyment as well.
I first read that as a difficulty curve… which is not the same.
Because if it was, IWBTG and Contra would be topping that shit like nobody's business.
(And I mean playing Contra without the fucking code.)
Somewhat off topic, but rel="nofollow">I never really understood why "casual" is used as a gaming community insult.
My only complaint about the chart is that Action/Adventure games should be placed lower than fighting games. Action/Adventure games generally have basic controls, and will either start you off with intriguing narrative or gameplay. I'm thinking of the Sonic and Zelda series as examples. Fighting games (sans Brawl) are annoyingly difficult until you can master the moveset of characters until you can finally beat the damn single-player mode.
I believe you have accidentally inverted your axes.
How about shutting the fuck up, and let me play the game i'm playing in peace? is that an option?
I don't understand why FPS games are as high up as they are. I mean, yeah. You do invest some time into them but only once. After you learn how to play one, you can play them all.
I just played through FF7 again and defeated Sephiroth last Saturday…
When I crawled out of my room I'd forgotten what the sun looked like.
This is not a curve. It's a bar graph.
I call bullshit. the tetris block on that kids shirt is made of FIVE blocks. we all know that REAL tetris blocks are made with four.
now then I need to go make sure that my mom lined up my spaghetti properly. I cant eat it unless all of the noodles are in perfect rows on the plate.
I imagine that there would be background music for the players of each category…
Casual=Abc easy as 123
Platformer=Limbo Rock
Shooters= America, FUCK YEAH!!!!!
Action/Adventure=Pirates of the Caribbean Theme
Fighting=Kung Fu Fghting
RPGs=Tuba music
Thinking back to what games became fun the quickest for me…
Cave Story, Super Meat Boy, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, and Portal 2. 3 platformers and a puzzle game.
I would be a blip on the low point of that chart, because technically, there's NO amount of time that would make me have fun in casual games.
what would super smash bros be
there is no combo system so the controls are easy but it is still a fighting game
dunno why they put fighting games on there at all, you cant ever enjoy them.
"Then I started running a semi-popular video game website and now I have no time to play video games!"
I guess all those times you played TF2 and LoL don't count then.
so where does starcraft fit?
Super Meat Boy is actually really fun. Probably because between the super tight, smooth movement and fast reload time, death is a trip-up, not a failure.
> Implying Button Mashing isn't fun
*ah-hem*
