    Why would she want to disguise herself as Mario's ex-grlfriend? Unless…
    A)SHE'S A FARM!
    B)She locked Pauline in a chest, then disguised herself as her so that she could make Mario break up with her, thus making him available to defend her corrupt autocracy from the Koopa Revolution!
