    Oh that's nothing.

    When I was six, my dad expected me to be able to tie my shoes perfectly. Now of course I KNEW how to tie my shoes, my problem was maintaining a control over my fingers. My father beat him on the head numerous times after that for not being able to create a solid knot.

    Coincidentally the night after, I was watching tv when everyone was either away or asleep. Rugrats was on and I was like "HELL YEAR RUGRATS", so decided to watch that. It was the episode where Chuckie impressed his dad by being able to tie his shoes (actually Angelica doing the work for him) at a young age. I forget exactly what his dad said at the end, but it went something like: "I don't care if you ever learn to tie your shoes, because that doesn't change the fact that you are my son, and I am your father, and I will always love you for that."…

    Immediately turned off the tv.

    Went to bed.

    Cried myself to sleep that night.

    Feels bad man…..

    ….wait I'm Asian that's supposed to happen. Nevermind.

    Ash's first hat was an official Pokémon League Expo hat, which Ash claimed to have "sent in about a million postcards" in order to obtain it, and went… well, ape shit when a Mankey stole it. In other words, it was a huge deal.

    Then suddenly he had no problems switching hats with some generic Pokéball one and never flips it again. Okay. That makes sense.

    While we're at it, the show's been around for at least 10 years. Ash was also said he knew Pikachu for a whole year in the Entei movie, a few days after his birthday. Except, oh hey, he's still 10.

    There's a kid in some of my classes (aged 16) who asks some of the stupidist questions, such as "What is a one-legged prostitute" or "What's a man made barrier?".

    This is why I like to keep my mouth shut most of the time. Sure, the idea of asking questions is good, but please think about it before you say anything.
