In the Team Fortress universe, there is no such thing as cloth. There is only materials crafted from the corpses of many fallen weapons that resembles something LIKE cloth. That is why you need so much scrap materials.

You ALSO have a chance of shoving 54 to 75 weapons into a box...and when you open it, SOMEHOW you have created absolutely nothing except for the ability to remove your standard issue hat.

In the Minecraft universe, you can ride a pig and find diamonds and fight exploding penises.

...Really you lose no matter where you go.

I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you and I will praise your name, O LORD Of All Hats, have all these weapons and please bless my head with coolness.

You crafted Ritzy Rick's Hair Fixative.

...WHY LORD? WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?!

One point that is forgotten:

In Minecraft, crafting is an essential and integral part of the game, making the gameplay richer and the game more interesting.

In Team Fortress 2, crafting is an almost useless (unless you wish to craft a special weapon, but who does that, seriously?) and yet, everyone and their dog trades for crafting ingredients. This has caused a significant drop in the quality of the gameplay and has thus made the game less interesting.

Minecraft cost me 14$ during alpha, and is improving as time goes on.

TF2 cost me 19,99$, and is seeing the quality of its gameplay go down due to tradesmen and idlers (the very few of them).

To put it shortly, the game.

There are over 100 hats... 8 of which matter, because they're part of a set.

Speaking of Minecraft, my mountaintop abode just got an infinity pool installed. If you want to come visit, it is fine, but beware the drop!

ALSO...
forge steel weaponry... with bare hands
NO INJURIES!!!

I haven't played TF2 since my laptop broke a few months ago, and I haven't played Minecraft ever (not counting the demo)...

I feel so left out.

If you know how to make player skins, you can have infinite hats in minecraft. You just can't wear three at once.

"Weapons are a base unit of all combat"

This is going to need some explaining.

ruining weapons for a hat? wear your weapon as a hat! shoot people with shotguns tied to your face! what could go wrong?

edit: You know how much time it costs to craft tf2? well to craft the amount of cakes required to feed the tf2 maker you need 2000 flour, 1443 sugar, some milk, 645 eggs etc. one long ass quest.

BULLSHIT

Bill's hat is uncraftable

Minecraft is better.

in order to make 167 hats in TF2 you would require OVER 9000 weapons!

I'd like to add the Monster Hunter version:
Slay 100 of a particular breed of large nasty monster.
Craft complete armor set from its carves / rewards.
Great, now you are perfectly suited to slay said monster...
Too bad you now have no need to ever slay said monster again.

Actually, some set hats give a bonus when you have the whole set. But on their own, no point. Speaking of which, I REALLY want a frickin' milkman. Seeing the bs I have to go through to (maybe) get it... not sure the 25 hp is worth it.

I have not joke, but I have 68 E-Peen, help me get to 69?
