Ah, Japan. It'll be a couple of years before I head there yet, and it's a shame I can't make this. Seems like a great offer.

But I have to say, 9 days isn't much for a trip to Japan…
I went on a 22 day trip couple of years ago and I couldn't even visit most places I wanted in Tokyo!
I absolutely recommend going there though… after visiting a handful of different countries, Japan was by far the best experience I've ever had. Thus my plans on moving there at some point in my life.
I'd totally go if I hadn't already been to Japan this summer vacation. :l

wow, this is an interesting deal. too bad $2000 is way out of my reach right now….or in the near future.
True, I understand this is a great deal for a Japan trip, but when the only time you came in contact to that much money was as a cashier for a local theme park, then yes it is a lot of money.
Well you get to go to Akihabara… you can have a shopping spree with your own money!
